For many families, the journey to America begins with hopes for opportunity, freedom, safety, and a better future. Yet the journey can also involve significant sacrifices, challenges, and the experience of navigating life between cultures. Through conversations with chefs and community members, we hope to explore these experiences—what it means to leave one home, build another, preserve one's heritage, and find belonging in a new community. Food provides a meaningful starting point for these conversations. It carries memories, traditions, family histories, and stories that deserve to be shared. We have decided to postpone our previously planned December gathering so that we can focus on developing the documentary and building the partnerships and resources needed. Our hope is that the documentary will inspire greater understanding, spark meaningful conversations, and encourage individuals, businesses, and community partners to support the next phase of this initiative. How Can You Be Part of the Story? We welcome individuals, businesses, and organizations who believe in the importance of preserving stories, celebrating cultural heritage, and strengthening community relationships. You can support this initiative by sharing our vision, helping us connect with potential collaborators and sponsors, or making a financial contribution toward the project and future gathering. Together, we can create opportunities for stories to be heard, relationships to grow, and communities to discover what connects us. As she learned more about marginalized community members, such as prisoners, and newly arrived immigrants, she realized that the stories we hear, see, and share are important. In working with leaders of different ethnicities to serve their community, Chichi became aware of stories that challenged the stereotypes about certain ethnicities that she learned growing up. She learned how each person’s unique story help everyone see the humanity in each other. Neighbors are compelled to care for each other when they hear the struggles of the people around them. Teammates, co-workers, and friends are reminded how similar they are as they get to know each other. Chichi was inspired to build peaceful communities. She began collaborating with others who sought wholeness and goodness in their neighborhoods. Collaborating with others to build bridges of understanding for each other, to serve each other, to create spaces for healing and restoration as a community. Prodigy Peacebuilders is built on this idea of peacemaking, driven by the ministry of reconciliation, for healing and restoration of community. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/623df34b9004150c8e26b811/1cc33746-b88a-4886-b1e5-2b2e5fcc153a/CHICHI.png https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/623df34b9004150c8e26b811/fb86c99d-fcb5-457a-bdaa-c783b1d75740/jonathan.jpg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/623df34b9004150c8e26b811/bf1a4f22-45e4-467f-ba35-a744e8625ae0/daryn.png https://www.prodigypeacebuilders.com/events daily 0.75 2025-04-04 https://www.prodigypeacebuilders.com/community-event daily 0.75 2024-05-29 https://www.prodigypeacebuilders.com/youth-event daily 0.75 2022-10-19 https://www.prodigypeacebuilders.com/services-projects-1 daily 0.75 2023-12-29 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/623df34b9004150c8e26b811/ec1e1dd3-611f-439c-b42e-c49e24d5e9b1/Friday+Nite+summer+fest+flyer.png Services & Projects (Copy) - Community Events Prodigy Peacebuilders collaborates with others to create spaces for community healing.
